Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager. He/she is responsible for supervising production line employees and ensuring the set-up and operation of equipment on the beverage production line results in meeting production goals. Shift Supervisors must verify and ensure all products produced are at the highest quality with the correct ingredients and materials (cans, ends, labels, sleeves, trays, case, and film wrap).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise production line
  • Ability to operate machines on production line, and complete product change overs of filling and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot bottling line: filler, case packer, labelers, date coding, and palletizer.
  • Inspect all products are produced to specifications ensuring correct date code, label, case packing, and palletization format are followed.
  • Verify all raw materials and packaging to ensure they are correct and of good
  • Maintain a high visibility on production floor throughout shift.
  • Evaluate all employees under your supervision and provide recommendations for coaching and counseling.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and effective working environment for all
  • Strictly enforce all company policies and procedures including but not limited to GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Safety
  • Ensure that all production employees have adequate job skills training prior to beginning
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and willingly communicate a need for
  • Reports all emergencies, injuries, and production incidents
  • Identify areas and methods to improve productivity, quality, and reduce
  • Communicates current and forecasted production goals, changes in normal work hour schedules, special projects, etc. with all team members assigned on shift.
  • Shares information continuously with other production shift Supervisor(s) regarding current client production performance, equipment performance, staffing challenges, overtime scheduling, etc.
  • Monitors output, updates select shopfloor visual performance indicators, identifies low performance containment actions, and assigns tasks or responsibility to address recorded
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ manufacturing management
  • Demonstrates the ability to drive
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely
  • Capable of lifting and capable of regularly moving l 50Ibs by pallet jack.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and
  • Must always wear personal protective
  • Participates actively in facility safety initiatives, programs, and training
