Position Summary:
- This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for the proper operations of our canning and/or packaging line(s)
- Canning or packaging product for our valued customers in a timely manner while meeting safety and quality food codes and procedures
Essential Job Functions:
- Can or package products according to standard operating procedures
- Perform tasks with focus towards organization, sanitation, and safety
- Ensure product is of highest standards before and after packaging
- Run routine inspections on equipment to ensure quality
- Classification of Instructional Programs for all equipment according to standard operating procedures
- Perform daily maintenance of the canning and packaging lines
- Effectively work with and coordinate with packaging team
- Accurately keep and maintain records pertaining to task
- Maintain clean work environment
- Additional duties as required
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- This position requires 1-2 years of experience in similar duties
- Detail orientated person required for this position
- Ability to complete tasks in timely manner
- Capable of lifting 40 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Must always wear personal protective equipment
- Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
- Ability to work a schedule of (4) full 10-hour workdays per week, with the flexibility to occasionally work nights and weekends as needed
