CIP/Sanitation Technician

Position Summary:

  • This position reports to the SQF/Quality Manager and is responsible for the proper cleaning and sanitizing to all equipment and production areas of the facility.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains Good Manufacturing Processes
  • Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, production areas, packaging equipment, warehouse and food ingredients, receiving and shipping areas to proper protocols and specifications meeting food safety requirements
  • Inspects, promotes, and maintains adherence to food safety cleanliness in the handling of product, ingredients, and finished goods using proper work procedures and compliance with Food Safety Standards
  • Ensures all chemical containers are correctly labeled
  • Understands chemical or non-chemical pest control systems
  • Keeps neat, accurate records of all work performed daily
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
  • Follow all required work safe practices, wears all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, etc.
  • Report any food safety, quality, or safety related issues to management
  • Additional duties as required

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Organized & high level of attention to detail
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Willingness to learn, train, expand skillset
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must always wear personal protective equipment
  • Actively participate in all training offered within company
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl in tight spaces
  • Must be capable of lifting/moving up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a schedule of (4) full 10-hour workdays per week, with the flexibility to occasionally work nights and weekends as needed
